Single Visit Crowns and Bridges

A crown (or cap) is a covering that encases the entire tooth surface, restoring it to its original shape and size.  A crown protects and strengthens tooth structure that cannot be restored with fillings or other types of restorations.

Although there are several types of crowns, porcelain (tooth colored crown) are the most popular.  They are highly durable and will last many years, but like most dental restorations, they may eventually need to be replaced.  Porcelain crowns are made to match the shape, size, and color of your teeth, giving you a long-lasting, beautiful smile.

Reasons for crowns:

  • Broken or fractured teeth.
  • Cosmetic enhancement.
  • Decayed teeth.
  • Fractured fillings.
  • Large fillings.
  • Tooth has a root canal.

What does getting a crown involve?

We are proud to offer single-visit crowns at Manoff Dental! We have invested in cerec technology which allows us to mill your crown right in office to avoid the need for messy impressions, as well as temporary crowns. You only need to be frozen once, and you will have your crown within a couple of hours. We invested in this technology as we value your time and understand that it can be a hassle to book multiple dental appointments! See below for more information about this technology and feel free to ask us  about this technology at your visit!

Cerec Single Visit Crowns

Our advanced, in-office dental technology offers you single-visit custom crowns and more.

Why are we so excited to offer Dentistry Powered by CEREC in our office? Because it makes custom crowns easier than ever for you. In just one visit using this advanced technology, we can prepare your tooth, then make the dental restoration right in our office. No messy impressions, no temporary crowns, and no long wait for your permanent restoration.

How it works:

1. We capture an image of your tooth with a digital scanner.

2. A 3D model of your teeth and the new restoration are created on the computer.

3. The restoration is then fabricated from a ceramic block on our milling machine, right in our office.

4. The dentist places the custom-fit restoration a short time later, during the same visit.

What are the benefits?

Eliminates the unpleasant impression process

The digital scanner captures a full-mouth image in seconds—no biting down on impression material for several minutes.

No follow-up appointment necessary

We create and place your permanent dental restoration in one visit, letting you get on with life—eliminating the need for an uncomfortable, inconvenient temporary crown.

Only get frozen once

Since you are able to have your crown cemented in one day you will not be required to come back and have additional freezing to cement the permanent crown.

Preserves more of your natural tooth

Only decayed or damaged tooth surface is removed, preserving as much of the healthy tooth as possible.
